Wondering what’s so special about the Metro Inox Cinema? It’s not your average movie theatre, it has been a Mumbai landmark for more than 90 years. From movie premieres to Filmfare awards, this iconic cinema has seen it all. After its major glow-up, it looks even more splendid, credit goes to the fancy Belgian chandeliers, comfy seats, and a lot bigger and better screens. Gaylord is considered iconic and for all the right reasons. Opened in 1956, it was considered one of the first and most elegant fine-dining restaurants in Mumbai in that era. They started the first jazz club with a live jazz band and a ballroom too, and were frequently visited by popular Hindi film stars in the 60s. It is also a hit among the tourists. Make sure to pay a visit to dine on Indian and Continental delicacies. Gaylord has a bakery too, and you can get everything here, fresh bread, pastries, you name it.

An oldie but a goodie, K. Rustom & Co. has been serving the yummiest ice cream sandwiches near Marine Drive. Just a few minutes walk away from there, this ice cream parlour has become a go-to place for Mumbaikars, be it on a hot day or a breezy day. They serve 50 different flavours of ice cream between two thin and crispy waffles, which taste really satisfying. Their ice creams are light on the pocket too.

Their old-school jukebox has an entire collection of classics by Michael Jackson, Shakira, and Miley Cyrus. If you want an epic and uninterrupted view of the Queen’s necklace, check out the Pramod Navalkar Viewing Gallery. We must warn you, though, there are a few stairs to climb to get up there, but in the end, it's totally worth the leg workout. This space is super clean and decked out with lush greenery all around. There’s an echo point and an old telescope from which you can take in a breathtaking view of the city.

Lokmanya Bal Gangadhar Tilak Udyan, or as people love to call it, Glow Garden, is a small garden just a 2-minute walk away from the Girgaon Chowpatty. This place is straight-up magical when seen in complete darkness after sunset. From figures like deer, peacocks, and fish to even the trees, light up in the dark. We recommend catching the sunset at Chowpatty to soak in the views and then making your way over here for an unforgettable experience.

Going to Marine Drive, you cannot miss out on trying Irani cuisine at the iconic Kyani & Co. Been around since 1904, this restaurant makes you feel like you're walking into old Bombay. Checkered floors, wooden chairs, and the buttery bun maska and Irani chai, it all screams nostalgia. And while you're there, you must try their soft mawa cake and pop open a bottle of the Pallonji soda, you know, for the good old times!

Want to experience Marine Drive really up close? We recommend that you go on an adventure, that is, midnight cycling your way from Colaba to Marine Drive, it's a whole vibe! You get to cycle your way through landmarks like the Gateway, Taj, CST, and even by the sea. It's also a fun way to meet new peeps if you are new to the city, squeeze in a little cardio, and see Mumbai in a new light.

It's simple, and we had to include this iconic memory we made at Marine Drive.

Pizza By The Bay has the best view of Marine Drive. If you're craving pizza with a side view of the sea breeze, just go there. And I think somehow the view makes the pizza here even more tasty. Although their pizzas are good, their pasta and garlic bread deserve equal love.
