She picked it up after seeing some really good reviews on Nykaa. “I have used this product for 3-4 washes so far and after the second wash, I could see that it’s working. My scalp is not as itchy as it was before and there is no visible dandruff.” For someone who was advised by her dermatologist to wash her combination type hair every third day, the piroctone olamine in the shampoo is getting rid of the itchiness. “I have noticed that my scalp can get a little dry because of piroctone olamine, the same ingredient that combats itchiness and flakes. So after washing my hair, I use Moroccan Argan oil. And of course, a conditioner just for my tips and the rest of the hair to get that soft and shiny look.”

She has added this anti-dandruff shampoo to her frizzy and curly hair care routine for a year and uses it on hot days after she is done with travelling. This product has managed to reduce the appearance of dandruff after one to two washes. “It does a great job at getting rid of the grim and makes my hair slightly soft on the day I use it.” She loves the instant results this dandruff shampoo gives making it an occasional addition instead of being a regular must-use. Dinal advises using a good hair conditioner or serum to prevent your hair from getting dry after two to three days of using the shampoo.

As someone who doesn’t have dandruff all the time, LBB user Aditi Devi relies on Nykaa’s anti-dandruff shampoo. “I usually use a shampoo for one or two washes, and the problem is fixed, and my dandruff appears usually when I travel or hit up a cold and dry place. I have thin, wavy hair, and it's gotten even less with two kids! But this shampoo is my pick because it doesn't leave the scalp itchy and isn't harsh on the hair. In fact, I used to use Head & Shoulders which definitely got rid of dandruff, but also the shine and oils on the hair! This one does not. I have used the Kama Ayurveda Bringadi Sulphate & Paraben Free Hair Cleanser several times, especially during the winter months when the dandruff flares up. The blend of bhringraj with amla, liquorice and indigo extracts makes it a mild anti-dandruff treatment. Since I have chemically treated hair that requires special attention, using this sulphate-free shampoo helps keep my scalp clean but hydrated. I use it once a week and alternate between this and my regular shampoo. It does take multiple uses to get rid of the dandruff for good, but then I don’t have to worry about it for a long time. One recommendation I have is to follow up with a good conditioner as it doesn’t do much conditioning.
