Founded in 2019 by Sheldon Abranches, Sidharth Bandal, and Nathaniel da Costa, Hideaway has risen to become one of India's most acclaimed bars. It has been featured on the 30 Best Bars in India list three times. Located on Ozran Beach Road, near the "I Love Bell Bottom" landmark in Vagator, North Goa, it was created out of the founders' shared love of music, curiosity, and artful cocktails. Live music is at the heart of this bar, so evenings here are nothing like any ordinary Goan bar — less conversations, more dancing or vibing your heart out on a killer blues solo or a funky bassline. Over the years, the bar has hosted international bands including Sarathy Korwar, Monoswei, Desmadre Orkestra, and Daoud. Even when international artists are not taking over the stage, you can expect regular gigs and spontaneous jam sessions. It's designed to be a cultural space, and this is reflected in its design, which features an open-air courtyard for live performances and a flexible stage area.

Moving away from the live music, the bar's cocktails are some of the most talked about in the cocktail industry. The cocktail menu features a diverse section of drinks that caters to different tastes and preferences. Starting from vibrant Babylon ( a mix of vodka, passion fruit, coconut water & lemon grass) to the End Of The Day (house-infused rum with banana and coffee liqueur), the cocktails deliver a complex yet satisfying flavour profile. Whether you're drinking them in the open-air courtyard outside or at the horseshoe-shaped bar inside, the cocktails are inventive, and built around spirits infused in-house, Goan ingredients like kokum and urak and have clean presentation. What we love even more is how the bar team creates special, seasonal drinks and limited-edition cocktails for high season or gig nights.

While drinks are important, food holds equal importance in our lives. It's safe to say that Hideaway aces this area just like its cocktails. The menu is curated with comfort food in mind, but hints of Goan and International influences elevate it to the next level. Their food menu includes bar bites, burgers, sandwiches, and, of course, seafood. All of these items are made with fresh, locally sourced ingredients and are super affordable, with dishes like Beef Tenderloin at INR 600 and Butter Garlic Prawns at INR 650.
