What drew us to this place was their cocktail menu. Titled a 'Letter From Two Worlds,' it is quite literally a letter between Western and Indian artists, recommending cocktails to each other (like Kafka writing to Rumi, or Frida Kahlo drunk-dialing Confucius under Shanghai’s sky, or Picasso raising a glass to Amrita Shergill). Latango is not just a dining space; it encompasses the experience of Europe after dark and is led by Italian chefs, Chef Roberto Blondi and Chef Joe Stanchi.

Situated in Basant Lok market (which is also the most happening spot in town for all things new right now), Shokupan boasts and rightfully so, for how they are focused on making authentic Japanese milk bread and slow-crafted sandos. What we love about them is that every product is made in-house—from the bread to the sauces, with the highest standards of quality, hygiene, and flavour. We tried a few of their sandos with our favourites being the BBQ Pork Belly, Picante Grilled Cheese, and the spiced lamb — all of them were filling, hit the spot, and something we'd go back to again.
