Char Bar wins in the popularity department, and for good reason. With soothing white decor, plenty of books from the adjoining Oxford bookstore and a killer chai menu (give the fish and chips, ice tea, Earl Grey tea and lemonade a try). It's easy to pass hours here over a pleasant conversation. Take note; it also tends to get really crowded and noisy on most days, So, factor that in.

We weren't too sure about this one at first, but their Saffron tea and a simple, finger-food menu won us over. Plus, it has an ambience that's perfect for a date with your chindi-and-can't-deal-with-fancy-places buddy. We're huge fans of the GK outlet and can't not recommend the CP one because we're certain of the same service.

Although a little packed, Theobroma stays as adorable as ever. This is where you can bond with your friend over some amazing choco chip and cookie brownies (and feel guilty over all the bingeing later). They also offer a coffee menu as well as savoury options when it comes to food. What we like the most about Theorbroma is that, after all these years, their quality has not shaken.

We tried this one when we were hungry and too tired to look for someplace else. Et voila, we hit jackpot. The burgers were damn good, and the best part is that they're open till 4 AM. So, you can head here even when it's late and you're donw with your bar hopping in CP on a late Friday night.

Indian Republic Canteen aims to upgrade the canteen culture experience all of us fondly remember from the simpler times. The menu spotlights your comfort desi food but with a global twist. Plum's newly revamped space in CP is great for grabbing C&C (aka coffee and cocktails) when you are feeling a little extra and want to hang out in a glamorous place, because the decor is exquisite (in capitals). The food and drinks aren't behind and taste fantastic to say the least. Also, whatever you order off the menu looks great and does justice to the look of the place in our opinion.

A little on pricier side, Farzi Cafe is more of an indulgence than a casual spot for drinks. The food and cocktails here are amazing and never fail to surprise. Head here for your evening cocktails and tipples when you are craving elevated Indian food. The vibe of the place is quite nice at night so definitely consider visiting for weekend dinners.

Indian Coffee House is an OG spot for grabbing tea or coffee when in CP. Established in 1957 as the first Indian Coffee House in the country, it has been around forever which clearly reflects in the place's ambiance. Also, the dosa and sandwiches here tend to remain a favourite of our parents since the preparation is simple and sans any frills.

Of course this list had to include almost every Delhiite's favourite cafe, The Big Chill. The mere thought of those (slightly desi) pastas (Vodka Penne supremacy here), pizzas, ALL the desserts and thick malts makes us want to plan our next meal here in advance. The vintage vibes with the farmed posters and bricked walls only adds to the charm.
