The Lobby Lounge & Terrace

The tea room at Four Seasons Hotel Bengaluru takes the cake for the best setting. You will love that the space gets a lot of natural light and has views of the pool and the garden. Whether you are coming in for an afternoon of tea-spilling session with your friends or a business meeting, the space works for those and more. The Afternoon Tea program has fine teas that are regularly updated, so you get to try more tea every time you are there. Plus, lots of tea-pairing nibbles to munch on.

This one on Cunningham Road and Indiranagar are the ones that we've frequented most for meetings and those days when the weather has felt a bit nippy. They have an extensive range of tea for you to choose from, and these include fruit-based, herbal infusions, and exotic kinds. You can sip on Oolongs, Japanese Gyokuro, and Lapsang Souchong here. We appreciate that you can purchase loose tea as well as tea brewing accessories.

Burma Burma Restaurant & Tea Room

If you haven't had the tea at Burma Burma, then you are missing out on a lot of flavours. Their tea is sourced from Myanmar (Burma), India, China, Japan, and even Egypt. If you are just used to saying your regular chai and the occasional green tea, then you'll love the menu for it'll have you opening up to more variety. They explain a lot about the tasting notes as well. The Ginseng Oolong, Cherry Sencha, and Saffron Kahwa are some that we recommend. They also have a tea store to pick up some blends.

You can order tea from around the world and pair it with Indian teatime snacks that include your Mumbai Masala Toastie. Some of the teas that we recommend include Royal Darjeeling Tea, Vanilla Bourbon, Moroccan Mint, Sencha Tea, and White Tea.

The Lobby Lounge

The tea lounge at The Ritz-Carlton is where you can sip on tea with your pinky up. It's got European-inspired interiors and a curated collection of artwork all around. The Afternoon Tea program here is presented in a classic Charlie. And your choice of tea ranges from Assam to Chamomile, and classic English Breakfast to Jasmine. The nosh menu is inspired by the art, so for instance, the Mutabal Pomegranate Tart is an interpretation of a Satish Gupta painting.
