If your idea of pickleball is pickles dancing at a ball, then no. We appreciate how your brain thinks and we want to protect it. We're talking about the viral paddle sport that is basically like table tennis and tennis but it's a lot different from the two. A whole different set of rules, court dimensions, and playing style. The sport is played as singles or doubles and your job is to hit a perforated, hollow plastic ball with paddles over a net until your opponent is unable to return the ball or commits a foul. The best part? It can be played both indoors and outdoors. If you are new to the sport or are somewhat familiar, here are places to play pickleball in Bangalore and have a ball of a game. 

Mahesh Bhupathi Pickleball Arena

Inside the Mahesh Bhupathi Tennis Village, four pickleball courts adhere to international standards and the courts are touted to have flexi pave and acrylic surfaces and there are both training programmes as well as amateur and professional events.

The sports arena has two pickleball courts along with football, futsal, basketball, and skateboarding courts. With 15 international-standard courts (indoor, outdoor and stadium), 11 Point Club is a new premium destination for pickleball in the city. They are working towards evolving the place into a community hub, with an upcoming café, and pop-up experiences. What we really like about their outdoor pickleball courts is that the courts have partitions separating each of them, giving you your designated space to play and not poke your neighbours by anyhow.

Another rooftop pickleball spot in Bangalore where you can enjoy breathtaking city views during your intense playing sesh. They also have coaching available for those who want to pick up the sport more seriously. Non-marking shoes are available here in case you forget to carry your own. They also host tournaments in case you wish to compete.

GoRally Pickleball

GoRally Pickleball in Indiranagar has six indoor pickleball courts, a healthy food cafe named Kenko Life, changing rooms, cool down areas and a pickleball pro-shop too for buying equipment. They offer paddles and balls for rent and recommend wearing soft sole/non-marking shoes but it's not a deal-breaker for them. They also host corporate events in case you want to book one for the work gang.
