Here are the new restaurants, bars, cafes, and shopping spaces that have opened up in Bangalore recently, all for you to go to and check out (if you have, then you're what we call an OG LBB Insider).

Places To Eat

Baan Phad Thai

A regular on Bangkok's Michelin Bib Gourmand list since 2018, the first outpost of the popular Thai joint is at the global hotspot of 12th Main Indiranagar. Reservations are almost full every week, the menu is short, sweet, spicy, and Thai —think signature Phad Thai to Phad Krapao — and from what we hear, a slice of Bangkok in Bangalore.

Tommy's

Pub City's newest no-frills neighbourhood bar is a reimagined avatar of the watering hole that's been there since '66. Decor leans on the nostalgia factor with the likes of old-school music posters and a jukebox. The menu is bar nibbles such as masala papad to egg bhurji with Indian classics such as biryani. Oh, and did we tell you they have a popcorn machine too?

Yan Yan

The Ritz-Carlton's newest offering is the Chinese-forward space that brings flavours of Canton, Hakka, Sichuan and Hunan to Bangalore. Yan Yan's menu will leave you wanting to come back and try more, because from housemade mochi to Canton Scallops and Peking Duck Rolls, there's a lot to savour and enjoy.

Hunaaan

A classic Bangalore Chinese restaurant, Hunaan's second store has opened in Indiranagar, serving up classics alongside some new dishes. The 40-seater space could be your spot in Indiranagar if you are looking for Sashimi, Singapore Soft Shell Chilli Crab, and General Tao's Chicken.

Katana

Indiranagar's food scene continues to grow, and with Katana, you have a 45-seater sake and shochu cocktail bar serving Japanese izakaya-style small plates. Think sushi hand rolls, cold plates and hot plates, tataki, and tempura, along with some substantial bites in the form of udon noodles and fried rice.

Bao To Me

Moving away from Indiranagar to the blocks of Koramangala, we've Bao To Me, which has evolved from a cloud kitchen to a brick-and-mortar concept. The 26-seater space serves up Asian cuisine with signature dishes such as Char Siu Bao, Tori Katsu Curry Rice, and Truffle Cream Cheese Dim Sum.

DYN

DYN is an all-day dining destination at Hilton Bangalore Embassy GolfLinks, where the focus isn’t just about where a dish is from, but how it’s made. Every counter at DYN focuses on a method, allowing ingredients and cultures to meet in ways that feel both familiar and new. As you dig into dim sum, grills to Indian classics from around the country, stop at the tap bar, where cocktails and craft beers are poured to perfection.

Gladia Brewery & Kitchen

Breweries in Bangalore mean big, and here we are talking about a massive 35,000 square feet space that's done up in Roman-style and can seat 700 people at a time. Oh, and Gladia has gone all out in the Roman aspect with a 15-foot gladiator at the entrance to Medusa and angels floating above. The cocktail menu also features Roman-inspired names, while the food is global with pizzas to mutton chops.

Mirth

We're back to Indiranagar, where cocktails take the centre stage at this cocktail bar that serves small plates. Mirth pushes itself away from being just a cocktail bar, with a menu largely inspired by the team's travels. We spotted drinks with Gouda cheese, tomato dust, mango tea, and peanut-cashew orgeat.

Brott

The thing with Indiranagar is that once you're here, you're going to stay here for a while. And that's the case with Brott, a coffee shop and bakery serving up buns, shakes, and coffee. It's the pastel pink decor that we are coming back for as well.

RIKO

Touted as Bangalore's first Peruvian-Latin restaurant, RIKO, at UB City, serves a menu structured around seven categories, including ceviches and soulful grills. Additionally, they will soon introduce a live-fire kitchen to showcase open-flame cooking.

Kalpaney

We are asking you to set your GPS to the South Bangalore side because Kalpaney has opened up with its 'global vegetarian cuisine'. So you have dishes such as Feta Meets Dahi Bhalla that pairs Greek feta with dahi bhalla, and Dal Dhokli Reimagined, where you get dhokli tagliatelle, tossed in a slow-cooked dal and finished with a kokum tadka. Kalpaney means imagination, and well, they have imagined vegetarian food in another way.

Amicii

In the heart of Indiranagar (yes, we're back), there's Amicii, a casual pub that wants you to make it your regular spot for drinks. The menu is Goan Pork Chorizo Tacos to Dynamite Prawn Uramaki, while drinks are uniqu,e such as Basilisk’s Kiss and Penja Paradox.

Mai Mai

Mai Mai, the new kind of 12th Main Indiranagar, takes the East Asian route with its offering. An open kitchen, bar seating, and zero-alcohol beverage program complement the food that includes lotus stem sushi, Mandarin Chicken, and one bowl meals such as Korean Bibimbap and Shiitake Fried Rice.

Kokoro

Taking the QSR route, Kokoro does Japanese soul food in the centre of Bangalore at 1Sobha. There's ramen, don bowls, and sushi to fix up all your Japanese cravings. Ramen noodles are made in-house, while don bowls are your perfect one-bowl meals for lunch or dinner.

On The Jungle Floor

We love it when online-only brands open up their brick-and-mortar experience stores and after six years, On The Jungle Floor has a shop on Indiranagar. The small yet cosy space lets you indulge in your interest in vinyl records and there's also a monthly listening session that lets you connect with the community. Find records from Sabrina Carpenter to AC/DC and everything in between. And we really mean everything in between.

Analogue Space

If you are someone who's into pop-culture collectables such as large statues and figurines from the works of Marvel, DC, manga, and anime, then Analogue Space is for you. But it's also a space for those who are audiophiles because they have vinyls, audio speakers, and media consoles as well. And not to mention they also stock up on Toyo tool boxes and analogue Hi-Fi and photography gear.
