7 Commercial Street Shops In Bangalore That We Recommend For Budget Shopping

Commercial Street is like an outdoor mall, filled with more high street brands than an actual mall. Zara, Topshop, H&M, Mango, Vero Moda — you can find hundreds of factory surplus clothing at a real steal. While they might not always be authentic, you can still come across great pieces at throwaway prices that are almost always on-trend. From airy sun dresses to embroidered army jackets, and oversized grunge flannel shirts to cutesy rompers — there’s something for everyone! We hit up Commercial Street with INR 2,000 (in honour of the anniversary of the new note) to see what we could find — and of course, we were looking for the best bargains we could get. Check out our spoils for yourself! Heads up, all the stores are located along Gollar Lane, next to Anand Sweets. But the good news is that each of these stores has branches all over Commercial Street.

With a total of six in Bangalore, our favourite branch is located on Commercial Street. You’ll find tons of Zara, American Eagle, GAP, Next, H&M, and even the occasional Pull & Bear piece!

This store is like Jazzy’s younger, wilder sister. You’re much more likely to find the perfect party top or a dress fit for day-drinking at the beach in this store. They mostly stock Vero Moda factory rejects along with other miscellaneous brands, but don’t be surprised if you happen upon a stray Topshop or Mango dress.

While this store has a decent range of clothes, you’ll probably want to head straight to their dress rack. Mostly stocking casual and sun dresses, we got our hands on some awesome pieces from the likes of H&M and Billabong, and at insanely low prices. Plus, boho tunics and that cool top with that charming back detail.

There's no way you can miss this store with its colourful flex hoarding that screams 'Up To 70 Percent Off' almost all year round. They have a huge collection of menswear, womenswear, and kidswear along with footwear and accessories. You will find collections for men and women that range from ZARA to Levi's. Of course, being an export surplus, you'll have to dig deep to find some trendy collection if that's what you are going for.

This mezzanine floor shop on Ibrahim Saheb Street stocks up on a wide range of womenswear including tops, jeans, and dresses. They do have a limited collection for men and kids. We spotted a lot of linen shirts for men -- unfortunately, most of them had their labels removed but they did feel good.

Exclusively for women, they stock up on everyday wear as well as party wear and occasion wear. Some of the collections are a bit outdated and gaudy but if you skip past those, you will find good crop tops, flowy dresses, and plenty of tops. They collection changes every six months and during the festive season, you will find newer options.

This multi-storeyed space has discounts ranging from 50 to 70 per cent and they have womenswear, menswear, kidswear, and footwear from brands such as Levis, GAP, Adidas, and Puma. Oh and ladies, the options are plentiful when it comes to womenswear: they have Indo-western, tops, dresses, frocks, jeans, and skirts to pick up from. They have a range of trendy women's footwear such as pumps, heels, and stilettos that are unbranded but work the budget you are looking for: these are priced between INR 500 and INR 900.
