Food is a love language globally. It brings people together, causes a few healthy tussles too (read: is chicken tikka masala Indian or British) but at the end of the day, it is the only thing that makes you feel nice without expecting something in return. (Excuse the cynical writer).

This year, we came across some outstanding restaurants, pushing far and wide the excellency in culinary experiences and bringing that element of surprise to your dinner table that makes dining out in a nice restaurant and leaving your home for a nice meal worth the effort, patience and penny.

This time around, as we look back on the year, we got talking to Chef Tarun Sibal— co-founder of Titlie and The Barfly in Goa, Street Storyss in Bengaluru and our favourite, Khi Khi in Delhi, that recently made it to the 30 Best Bars India's and Top 50 Bars for 2024 lists, to share with us the best meals he's had in 2024 as part of The LBB Mega list.

80/20 Bangkok

The Modern take on Thai Cuisine is refined and nuanced. The tasting menu is absolutely sinful.

The Spritz selection was to die for. Impeccable service, product knowledge and story was the highlight of the space, not to miss the view.

For me, it's the perfect blend of bold, modern Indian flavors and cocktails that are stirred with satire. It’s a place where I can let go, savor every bite, sip on drinks that make me smile, and just unwind—no pretences, just great food, drinks, and laughter.

Soulful Goan thalis and seafood cooked to perfection. It’s a spot that celebrates the essence of local flavours in an elegant setting. The Naik brothers will be on ground to ensure your meal is special, I am glad to have them as my friends.

A cozy spot with inventive cocktails that were as much about the story as the taste. It’s the kind of place you don’t want to leave. With the DJ console on the bar and highballs pouring, you cant ask for more.

A spot where contemporary Japanese cuisine meets style and sophistication. The vibe is electric, and the food is crafted with such precision, it’s hard not to be in awe. Once you are done with the plates, the theatrics at the Bar ensure you spend a lot more time at Zuma.

A classic that never goes out of style. Their legendary Dal Bukhara and tandoori items are pure indulgence and always bring back fond memories. It’s a customary visits once a month with the family. The entire ritual of waiting to get in, the first drink at the bar, knowing eactly what you have to order never gets old.

A place where time stops. Birthplace of the bellini, people have been working at this establishment for 35 years and more.
