Katrina Kaif helmed beauty brand—Kay Beauty has recently launched their new Hydra Cushion Foundation which is a foundation cake of sorts in the form of a compact.

The Kay Beauty Hydra Cushion Foundation comes in 12 luminous shades, to cater to all Indian skin tones, something that Kay Beauty, being a homegrown brand has always been inclusive of. They've nailed the viral Korean cushion foundation formula, further perfecting it. The product claims to give full coverage, suitable for folks who want their faces beat, or are going the heavy route for functions. Despite being full coverage and matte, it comes with a featherlight feel minus cakey layers, dryness, grease, and just flawless, breathable skin. What's even better is that it blends well, and lasts all day and comes with an SPF 40 PA++. The key ingredients used are hyaluronic acid, squalene, and vegan collagen and is priced at INR 1,599 for 14 grams of product.
My Verdict
Being someone with hyper dry skin, I did have my inhibitions while testing out a full coverage, matte formula, but all of those worries flew out the window the second I swiped the pad across my left cheek with the 135N shade —which is great with folks with medium skin tone and warm undertones. The texture is genuinely cushion-y soft, leaving behind a feather like touch. I wore it for 6 plus hours (during work) and noticed minimal oxidisation. It did seep into my fine lines but didn't really cake which was a bonus!
The packaging itself is adorable, pink, and super compact making it easy to carry around minus the fear of it spilling. At the under 2K price point, I believe it is totally worth your buck.
