This fluid sunscreen is a hot favourite on the internet for its lightweight, makeup-friendly formula which is packed with skin-loving ingredients like niacinamide, glycerin, and watermelon seed oil. It has SPF 30 protection which is decent in our opinion since we personally consider SPF 50 the boss. It is a chemical sunscreen which can be the reason for its thin consistency. In the end, it gives the skin a healthy glow which some people really enjoy.
Though a little far in terms of the finish, if you have oily skin and want to try a sunscreen powered by watermelon's cooling effect then give Dot & Key's Watermelon Face Sunscreen a go. It is a hybrid sunscreen with hyaluronic acid but has more of a semi matte finish in comparison to Glow Recipe's dewy finish. Also, it has SPF 50 PA+++ protection to safeguard you better from the sun's ruthless UV rays. While this might not be the perfect dupe, it does offer you the chance to try a sunscreen with a fruit leading the show.
Alternatively, the Aqualogica Radiance+ Dewy is a great dupe for the Glow Recipe Watermelon Glow Dew Shield SPF 30 since it has a similar fluid formula that leaves the skin looking like a juicy dumpling. It has watermelon, niacinamide and hyaluronic mimicking the magic of the Glow Recipe susncreen and has a hybrid formula again so you get the best of chemical and physical sunscreens in one.
LBB Tip: Oily skin folks might want to skip this one because it does leave that glowing sheen on the skin.
