You know that moment when you have a thought in the back of your mind for months and keep gathering signs pointing towards it. Well, sorry for the emo talk but we are transitioning this conversation into a material purchase we are bound to make soon cause hello, we have all the signs.
A few months back, we were exploring the ID exhibit in Delhi and gawked at this beautiful installation at Glass Forest's booth. It was a glass chandelier inspired by the bottlebrush tree with cylindrical blossoms, conical leaves in bloom towards the top and the spear shaped leaves pointing downwards at the bottom with a beautiful contrast of clear, white and green handcrafted glass.
Then again, we were strutting through the Papa Don't Preach store in The Dhan Mill and were struck by the beauty of this 17 feet chandelier at the centre of the space, adorned with the most beautiful hand sculpted glass pieces, dangling with little lights of joy and inducing this charming sorts of chaos calm mirroring the brand's colourful beaded and embellished garments.
Lastly, not so long ago, we finally managed to ask the folks at Eleved, the cafe inside Life Yoga in Delhi where those beautiful drinking glasses they serve our favourite mogra sherbet in are from and yes, you guess it right, Glass Forest was the answer. So, it has brought us to this realisation that it's time we invested in our first Glass Forest piece.
Talking more about the brand — founded in 2018 by Pallavi and Deeksha, Glass Forest was born from their shared passion for handmade glassware and lifestyle product design. Their glass art takes inspiration from nature and turns it into pieces that are modern and unique to fit into urban spaces. A thing of common in all their offerings is the use of colour in subtle hues that lets the craftsmanship of the handblown glass stand out. Glass Forest's range of products include luxury glass home decor with the most stunning candle holders, vases, flower stems and these stunning bird shaped jars. Drinkware is what we are currently eyeing with those uniquely ribbed patterns. There's also decorative glass wall murals along with light fixtures and installations as their showrunner. Do make a note that except the home decor, everything's made on order and costs a bomb post you consulting with their team. But, if you are okay shelling out a hefty sum for a lighting piece that will enwrap your space in a supremely creative warmth, don't hesitate 'cause the quality speaks for itself!
